NEW GEOGRAPHY GLOSSARY:
-CRUST: external part of the Earth
-MANTLE: melted part in the interior of the Earth
-TECTONIC PLACES: huge pieces of land, that flote in the Earth
-COLLIDE: crash
-EARTHQUAKE: when two tectonic places collide and lock. producing energy.
-FAULT LINE:(línea de falla)
-EPI-CENTER: (epicentro)
-REACH: catch up
-FLOAT: hover
-MOUNTAIN: high elevation on the Earth´s surface
-VALLEYS: areas of lowland surrounded by uplands (normally mountains)
-PLATEAU: large areas of flat or slightly hilly land
-PLAINS: large areas of flat and slightly hill land not much higher than sea
-GLACIER: large mass of ice that forms at the top of a mountains
-STREAM: flow of water with less volume than a river
-DELTA: accumulation of materials (sand and stones) deposited by the river
-ESTUARY: mouth of a river open to the sea
-GULFS: deep inlets of the sea
-BEACHES: accumulation of sand and gravel
-CAPES: large areas of of high coastal land into the sea
-CLIFFS: high coastal land that stick into the sea

-CONTINENRAL SHELF: submerged plain, underwater estension of a continent
-ABYSSAL PLAIN: large expanse of land at the bottom of the ocean
-CONTINENTAL SLOPE: incline from the continental platform down to the abyssal plain
